General Description

Potassium hydrogen phosphate(V), also known as dipotassium phosphate, is a water-soluble inorganic compound that is highly hygroscopic in anhydrous form. It is chemically designated as K2HPO4, and can be formed by the neutralization of phosphoric acid with potassium hydroxide. Its properties such as buffering potential and superior solubility make it a noteworthy agent in a wide range of applications: in fertilizers for enhancing plant growth; in food industries as a food additive; in medicine as a high-efficiency potassium supplement; and as a buffering agent in antifreeze and other industrial applications.
